the Collection

The collection of the Bendestorf Porcelain Museum originates from the private collection of Margot and Horst Sobottka. The focus is on historical tableware, artistic figures such as the Meissen monkey band, and modern artist collaborations. Events

The Bendestorf Porcelain Museum wants to be more than just an exhibition space – we want to become a vibrant meeting place for culture and creativity. In addition to our collection, we are planning a diverse programme of special exhibitions, artist talks and workshops where visitors can experience porcelain art up close. But we are looking even further ahead: concerts, readings and interdisciplinary projects will also find a home here. We invite artists and cultural creators to fill this place with ideas – because it is only through encounter and exchange that vibrant culture can emerge. Join us in looking forward to what will grow here!
