Numerous vessels in "jasper porcelain," as Böttger termed the red stoneware invented by him, date back to the period between 1710 and 1719 and can be attributed to the goldsmith Johann Jakob Irminger, who was listed as a "court silversmith" in the personnel records of the Meissen manufactory in 1710.
HexAgonal chAndelier
Among other things, there is also a hexagonal candlestick made of fine stoneware, which was created around 1712. The defining element of this single-flame candlestick is the hexagon. It is varied in different shapes from the base to the nozzle. In symbolism, the number six represents balance and harmony, as well as health and happiness. According to Jewish and Christian religion, the divine creation took six days. Straight lines, worked as stepped reliefs, refer to formal models from the artist's familiar craft.
